I first heard about Bold Believers United when my mom made my sister and I go to the first C4: Christian, Character, College & Career Camp at Southern Methodist University in 2017. I was only 17 years old, and about to start my senior year of high school. I had no idea what to expect from the camp, but little did I know it was a blessing in disguise. The amount of impact that Bold Believers United Ministries has had on me cannot be described in words. The best part about BBU is that they continue to walk with you throughout life. I'm currently 24 years old and having April Bowman as a mentor since 17, has been a huge component in the reason why I'm standing here as this confident woman and soon-to-be minister today. I'm very thankful for her YES to God and because of her obedience, my prayers were answered. I had yearned to be apart of a community of young believers and to be closer to God, so He placed her in my life to see that living a surrendered life was not only capable but worth it. After I left the C4 Camp, I started teaching bible study and gained a boldness in knowing that it's okay to be young and living for Christ while the rest of the world isn't. Minister April supported me throughout college while I attended Texas A&M University Commerce. She helped me to choose my major and determine my career pathway of teaching. To this day, I'm very active in this organization and plan to continue. I know what this organization has done for me, so I encourage everyone I know to get plugged in. It's a rare blessing to be connected to people that not only are Spirit filled and love the Lord but also understand you as a person.
